Collective Weaving Manifestation

Älmhult is a place where many paths cross. We invite you to step out of your everyday bubble and join us in transforming individual threads into a collective social fabric. This is more than a craft workshop; it is an opportunity to slow down, create together, and explore how shared making can foster connection and belonging. Through collective weaving, conversation, and participation, we will gradually build a textile that reflects the many stories, experiences, and perspectives that make up our community.

Whether you are curious about weaving, interested in meeting new people, or simply looking for a creative evening, you are welcome to join. Together, we will explore how a simple act of interlacing threads can help us move from ‘me’ to ‘we’.

No previous experience is needed, everyone is welcome!

About the Facilitator

Semra Gür Üstüner is an artist and designer whose academic and professional practice has been dedicated to textile. She recently completed a Master’s degree in Innovation through Business, Engineering and Design at Linnaeus University, where she developed the Logic of the Fabric framework – a way of understanding how communities can be strengthened through participation, interlacing, and collective making.These workshops are an extension of her Master’s research project, which explored how collective craft practices can foster connection, belonging, and social cohesion.
