A Public Weaving Manifestation

Älmhult is made of many stories, paths, and people. During Konstrundan, we invite you to come by, choose a fabric strip, and leave your mark on a growing collective weave. Together, we will explore how small acts of making can bring people closer and turn separate threads into something shared.

Come for a moment or stay a while – every thread matters! This drop-in session is a first teaser of our larger weaving event on 1 September, where we will gather to explore, create, and weave together in greater depth. No previous experience needed, everyone is welcome!

About the Facilitator

Semra Gür Üstüner is an artist and designer whose academic and professional practice has been dedicated to textile. She recently completed a Master’s degree in Innovation through Business, Engineering and Design at Linnaeus University, where she developed the Logic of the Fabric framework – a way of understanding how communities can be strengthened through participation, interlacing, and collective making.These workshops are an extension of her Master’s research project, which explored how collective craft practices can foster connection, belonging, and social cohesion.
