Hello everyone — old students and new!
“Introduction to the History of Portrait” is a free presentation with our coursleader Adrian Jimenez Ocaña. Here you will get knowledge about history of portrait and what a portrait can be. Adrian would like to offer this free presentation with two main intentions:

1. To gather everyone who studied with him in his Classic Drawing for Beginners course and create a sense of community.

2. Adrian would like to introduce a second course: Portrait Drawing. In this new course, we’ll strengthen the core principles of drawing, shifting the subject from still life to the fascinating world of portraiture. This course will start 15th September. This course is for those who took that first course with him or for anyone with a basic drawing foundation.
Portrait drawing is a "second-level course" in terms of difficulty, but it will be carefully adapted for beginners. We’ll explore the portrait through the methods of the old masters, using simple templates to learn essential portrait concepts step by step.

This free event comes with no commitments — just an open invitation to all art lovers, and a warm space to share, connect, and talk about art together.

About Adrian

For those who don’t know me, I’m Adrián Jiménez, an artist and Fine Arts graduate from the University of Granada, Spain — my home country. I’ve been teaching classical drawing at Studieförbundet for the past two years, and I’ve dedicated my whole life to art.
